FlowMatic® 03 OEB Big Bag Filling Station
The FlowMatic® 03 OEB Big Bag Filling Station is an innovative solution designed for the packaging of sensitive powders requiring a high level of containment. Ideal for the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, it ensures the safe handling of products classified as OEB and CMR, whilst protecting operators and the environment.
Thanks to its double inflatable seal system, the filling head ensures an airtight connection with the Big Bag, preventing any particle dispersion. The sequence of Big Bags is optimised by an isolation gate, allowing for a smooth changeover without breaching containment. A side discharge hatch, fitted with an endless bag and an airtight plug, provides fully contained waste management.
Filling accuracy is ensured by a set of load cells, guaranteeing controlled dosing and perfect homogeneity. Manufactured from 316L stainless steel, the FlowMatic® 03 OEB meets the most stringent requirements in terms of safety, hygiene and efficiency.
Suitable for demanding production processes, this station enables ergonomic, reliable and completely safe packaging, minimising manual intervention and improving productivity.

Operating instructions: Filling the FlowMatic® 03 OEB Big Bag
1. Setting up the Big Bag
Automatic hooks allow the operator to attach the four handles of the Big Bag. The operator positions the Big Bag’s collar over the outer inflatable seal of the filling head.
A second inner inflatable seal provides additional sealing. The scoop, mounted on guide rails, ensures optimal sealing when it rises into contact with the sealing head. A pre-inflation fan adjusts the structure of the big bag before filling to prevent creases.
2. Safe filling and weighing
The station is mounted on weighing scales for precise dosing, ensuring a controlled flow rate. A vibrating table (optional) can be added to optimise product compaction.
3. Sealing and closure
Once filling is complete, the operator uses a sealing clip to crimp the top of the sleeve. Using cutting pliers, they cut the clamp in half. This system ensures isolation on both sides after cutting. The excess inner bag is only removed during the next cycle to maintain containment.
4. Fitting the next Big Bag
- The operator lowers the lever to clear the connection space.
- The outer inflatable seal deflates to allow the new Big Bag to be fitted.
- Once in position, the outer seal re-inflates to ensure a watertight seal with the new sleeve.
- The inner inflatable seal then deflates, releasing the sleeve from the previous Big Bag.
5. Waste disposal via the side hatch
The hatch is fitted with an endless bag and an airtight plug. The operator removes the cap, unrolls the bag to collect the waste from the sleeve, then staples the continuous bag to ensure it is sealed at both ends before replacing the cap.
