PALAMATIC PROCESS is embarking on a major €5 million investment plan for a new innovation and expertise centre for industrial powders, located at its headquarters in Brécé (35).
French expert in powder handling solutions, PALAMATIC PROCESS, a subsidiary of the FIDEIP Group (450 employees, €80 million turnover), will open a new innovation and excellence centre in 2026 in Brittany, at its headquarters in Brécé (35). The aim is to welcome any industrial company wishing to test its powder products, receive training and innovate. This centre will help customers find the best solution for handling and managing their powders (Atex, flow, containment, hygiene, design, reliability, etc.) by supporting them with practical tests and sharing the knowledge of PALAMATIC PROCESS experts in powder management since 1992.
INNOVATE - TRAIN - TEST
As announced in Les Echos (19 January 2026 edition), this new centre, which is open to the world, will house a wide range of equipment, as well as a laboratory, demonstration robots, etc. A unique place of innovation in Europe, it will also be a training centre for a wide range of applications. PALAMATIC PROCESS's expertise lies in handling powder in all its forms and according to its customers' requirements: hygiene, explosion, contamination, high flow rate, dosing precision, automation, etc. How does powder behave? What about its particle size, density, flowability, temperature, risk and toxicity?

For more than 30 years, PALAMATIC PROCESS (130 employees, €25 million turnover) has been installing systems in all types of factories around the world, for all types of applications! Milk processing, rocket launches, tyres, textiles, animal feed (pet food), mineral and rare earth extraction, etc.
In North America too...
An internationally-oriented company, PALAMATIC PROCESS has been established in North America since 2019 and in Canada since 2023. In Montreal, the French manufacturer opened a similar powder and ingredient testing centre in 2025. Customers and partners can find all the innovations and equipment they need for their industrial-scale tests there.
A world of powders
WHY A NEW CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE DEDICATED TO POWDERS?
This technology centre, which is currently under construction and will open in 2026 in Brécé (35), as reported in Ouest France - API (21 January 2026 edition), will bring together all the solutions and expertise for powder management that PALAMATIC PROCESS has mastered since 1992.
Its future visitors and users will find the best solution for the characterisation, management and handling of their technical powders, as detailed in Bretagne Economique magazine: sensitive environments (Hazloc), flow, containment, hygiene, design, reliability, etc. Practical testing and the transfer of know-how will bring this unique European centre to life!
Connected to the PALAMATIC PROCESS manufacturing workshops, the future 1,500 m² innovation and expertise centre will bring together four areas of expertise: Automation (robotic solutions), Easyclean (hygiene requirements, ease of cleaning), Containment (explosive and sensitive environments) & Powder design (mechanical design and process control/industrial IT related to the specific characteristics of each powder).

‘A key tool’
"This new powder expertise centre is a key tool for offering our customers the opportunity to design and simulate their projects in real conditions, on an industrial scale. Faced with the increasing complexity of powders, we are consolidating our expertise. Our teams' expertise in characterisation and technical skills has been the key to the success of our international projects for over 30 years," explain Jacques Clochard (Chairman - FIDEIP Group), Arnaud Clochard (Managing Director - FIDEIP Group) and Thomas Lavallée (Managing Director - PALAMATIC PROCESS) in Le Journal des Entreprises (23 January 2026 edition).
