BIG BAG FILLING - FLY ASH RECONDITIONING IN CONFINED AREAS
The FlowMatic® 02 Ashflow OEB big bag filling station is specially designed for the reconditioning of fly ash at thermal power plant sites.
The refiom is collected at the outlet of centralized filters, silos or at the outlet of Reddler type chain conveyors and is often at high temperatures of up to 250°C.
The big bagging of the ashes is carried out in a completely sealed enclosure ensuring safe handling by the plant operators. The extremely abrasive and aggressive nature of the ashes is perfectly taken into account in this contained big bag fillling solution. Also, depending on the temperature of the ashes (refiom), the big bagging station can accept metal containers to ensure the storage of ashes above 110°C.
Containment of the FlowMatic® 02 Ashflow OEB big bag station is provided by a sealed enclosure with a lockable door and an inflatable big bag connection seal.
The removal of the big bag from its enclosure is ensured by a sliding system allowing handling by the operator. The closure of the big bag sleeve is ensured in the containment chamber.
In order to ensure an autonomous and safe filling of the big bag, a fan ensures the shaping of the bag. The filling is controlled by weight sensors (load cells) or a microwave sensor detecting the high level.
Big bag filling stations can be installed in parallel to ensure continuous emptying of the dust filters.

- Opening of the containment cabin by the operator
- Placing the big bag on the fixing hooks
- Connecting the filling sleeve to the inflatable containment seal
- Validation of the installation for loading authorisation
- High level alert reached
- Removal of the big bag before closing the cuff
- For easy handling, the fixing hooks and the connection head can be removed from outside the cabin. The reconnection is automatic and ensured by a pneumatic cylinder connecting the ash outlet to the filling head.
