The ESH range from Palamatic Process includes automatic and fully washable bagging machines, specially designed for the packaging and packing of preformed bags and sacks from 5 to 25 kg. Each bagging machine, suitable for the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries, processes between 300 and 600 bags per hour depending on the options selected on the machine.
This packaging equipment is manufactured from 304L or 316L stainless steel with a pharmaceutical-grade finish that guarantees the absence of retention areas. In addition, this new bagging machine achieves levels of hygiene and safety never before seen in the food industry thanks to its completely cleanable design.
The ESH range of bagging machines is designed to integrate into vertical (gravity-fed) or horizontal (mechanical or pneumatic conveyor filling) production lines and can be adapted to any type of industrial site. Thanks to a tool-free removable hopper, integrated washing nozzles and a design with no sharp corners, each machine ensures safe packaging that complies with BRC, IFS, FDA and EHEDG standards. The ESH bagging machine is specially designed for the packaging, bagging, and wrapping of complex powdered products. It efficiently handles all types of products, whether dry, greasy, sticky, abrasive, electrostatic, or difficult to flow.
It packages food powders such as vegetable protein, milk powder, nutritional premixes, fermented powders, and instant beverages, as well as sensitive products from the chemical and pharmaceutical industries such as excipients, resins, micronized powders, technical additives, and catalysts. Thanks to precise deaeration and controlled vertical settling, it guarantees homogeneous and stable filling in each bag, even for powders with very low density.

4. Two integrated powder dosing systems for optimized bagging
To ensure accurate bagging tailored to the nature of each powdered product, two standard dosing solutions are available:
Vertical dosing screw:
- This system is ideal for all types of products, including loose, fine, or free-flowing powders, as well as compact, clogging, or compression-sensitive powders. Integrated directly into the bagging machine, the vertical screw allows for controlled and regular dosing, coupled with dynamic weighing ensuring high net weight accuracy. This process is ideal for food applications where productivity and dosing tolerance are essential.
Buffer chamber with discharge valve:
- Designed for packaging free-flowing products that tend to gravitate, see granular products. This system is based on a pressurized buffer chamber combined with a patented discharge valve. This solution allows for controlled product transfer in a confined or inert atmosphere, promoting safe bagging in restricted environments (ATEX zones, hygroscopic or oxidizable products). This type of equipment guarantees product integrity throughout the emptying and packaging process.

5. Built-in options
The ESH can be configured with numerous options to adapt to product requirements or process constraints:
- Mechanical knockers or tampers for vertical settling of the product in the bag
- Deaeration system via nozzles
- Single or double sealing (with heating strip), with or without air jet for cleaning the sealing area
- Automatic labeling of empty or full bags
- Inkjet or thermal printing on empty or full bags
- Automatic powder sampler
- Automatic conveyor management for variable bag heights

Operating procedure
The operation is based on a fully automated cycle:
- The bags are automatically picked from a high-capacity magazine (up to 300 bags).
- A suction cup system picks up the bag, which is then opened.
- The bag is automatically positioned on the bagging head.
- Filling is carried out by a vertical screw or pressurized airlock, depending on the nature of the product (light powder, pasty, dense or sticky).
- Settling knockers and a nozzle deaeration system are activated as an option to ensure optimal deaeration and bag holding.
- At the end of filling, the bag is sealed with a single or double line (heating strip), then labeled, printed, and/or inerted. The conveyor moves up or down automatically to adapt to the selected bag height. Format changes are quick and require no tools.
The entire cycle is controlled by the Pal’Control® PLC, ensuring recipe management, batch traceability, operator alerts, speed monitoring, and maintenance diagnostics.
