Processed powders: silica, wheat, carbonate
The installation consists of a new mixing line for the production of natural additives for animal nutrition. The raw materials are brought in bulk bags, sacks and pots.
3 bulk bag unloading stations, equipped with electric hoists are located on the 2nd floor of a platform. The 1st one is dedicated to silica powder. On this station, special precautions have been considered, for operator safety: dustproof docking system, gloves box and sucking walls.
A 2nd station is located next to the silica one and allows the discharging of bulk bags of other bulk materials, such as carbonate powder. On this station, it is also possible to dump 25kg sacks and pre-weighed ingredients. A scale is located on the same level, with a suction wall to allow the operator to pre-weigh these bulk ingredients.
These 02 stations are feeding a mixer, located on the 1st floor of this platform. The rotary valves ensure its correct feeding with the required accuracy of +/-1.000g. Batches are about 1,000kg. During the blending, essential oils such as orange peels are introduced. The blend is then integrally transferred to 2,000L stainless steel containers, located on the floor level of the plant.
A 3rd bulk bag discharging station also allow to fill containers directly, in case mixing is not required.
These stainless steel containers are then stored and, when required, installed onto an unloading station, where the product is transfered to a FFS machine.
All bulk handling equipment (bulk bag unloading stations, mixer and container filling stations) are connected to a centralized dust collector to work on a healthy atmosphere.
