Description

BIG BAG FILLING - Containment, densification and BULK weighing

The filling station’s structure is easily adjustable to condition big bags of various heights. The tensioning cylinder, the fan and the vibrating table give an optimal shape to the big bag. The vibrating table, on the other hand, ensures the deaeration of low-density products.

The FlowMatic® 03 filling system has a filling rate ranging from 10 to 20 big bags per hour.

Operating mode:
1. Installation of the big bag on the packaging station
2. Hermetic fixing of the big bag filling sleeve by inflatable joint

The FlowMatic® 03 big bag filling machine incorporates all the necessary options for an effective containment: inflatable containment seal, big bag hanging deck adjustable in height via a piloted pneumatic cylinder, big bag shaping fan, big bag weighing system (dosing), optional commercial weighing, vibrating densification table... The whole adjustable structure enables the conditioning of big bags of various heights. The filling head is designed with a double casing to ensure that the volumes are balanced and thus avoid any dust emission into the atmosphere. The tension cylinder and the fan allow the big bag to be optimally shaped. The handling of the packaged big bag is safe, with no risk of it tipping over.
The FlowMatic®03 big bag filling station has a filling rate raging from 10 to 20 big bags per hour.

Equipment integrated into the FLOWMATIC 03 model:

- Round hooking forks of the big bag: offers easier sliding of the big bag handles.
- U-shaped forks for attaching the big bag handles: allow the big bag to be evacuated directly through the handles using a forklift truck (no pallet is used).
- Support structure: the structure is manually adjustable in height to fit all types of big bags- Width adjustment: the spacing of the hooking forks is adjustable in width to optimize the filling operation but provides a greater stability of the flexible container on its pallet.
- Inflatable seal: the inflatable seal ensures a tight connection between the filling head and the big bag during the filling operation.
- Filling head: the filling head is designed in a double casing for volume balancing. The charged air is evacuated through the degassing line which can be connected to the dedusting network.
- Tension cylinder: the pneumatic cylinder is located on the deck of the suspension forks. It allows to bring the system for attaching the handles of the big bag to ergonomic height, to adjust to the different big bag heights and to give an optimal shape to the big bag thanks to the permanent tensioning during the whole conditioning phase. The big bag is perfectly filled without any risk of pocketing and can be handled safely, without any risk of it tipping over.
- Pre-inflation fan: implanted on the station, the fan ensures the shaping of the big bag equipped with an internal bag to facilitate its filling. A by-pass valve makes it possible to degas the fines that are captured by the double-cased tube during the conditioning phase.

    Conveyor

    The big bag placed upon the pallet is evacuated by a motorized roller conveyor, thus optimizing production.

    Rotating head

    System allowing the ergonomic implementation of the empty big bag. Designed using a high-strength bearing, a simple rotation (+ 180°/-180°) of the attachment system allows the operator to position the 4 handles of the big bag from his workstation.

    The automatic release of the handles, once the big bag filled, completes the system and makes it a particularly suitable equipment for high packaging rates.

    The enclosed unit incorporates the pre-inflation fan, allowing its use in difficult environments also subject to strong hygiene constraints.

    Mobile station

    The bagging stations can integrate handling sleeves allowing the handling of the assembly on the forklift truck or pallet truck.
    These mobile big bag packaging stations allow the conditioning of the big bags under separate feeding points or truck loading handles.

    Versions with rails and wheels are available as standard at Palamatic Process.

    Hook - Handle

    The equipment can be designed to accommodate big bags 1 handle big bags. A specific maintenance hook enables the positioning of the handle. This hook is set up on the height adjusting deck, thus keeping the system’s flexibility.

    A curved feeding tube completes the system allowing to preserve a straight base on the big bag, ensuring an optimal filling.

    Automatic big bag release

    Four articulated hooks are installed on the big bag reception deck. The automaton activated pneumatic cylinder controls the tilting of the hook at the end of the dosing process.

    Pallet unstacker

    In order to automate the big bag filling station, we propose the installation of an automatic pallet unstacker.
    The stacked pallets are stored in the warehouse, then feed one by one the big bag packing machine via a motorized conveyor.

    Grounding clamp

    Mass braids equip the entire station. A quick connection point allows the grounding of the big bags, thus creating an equipotential connection of the unit.

    It facilitates access to the upper part of the big bag filling machine to allow the closing of the bagging head of the flexible container.

    Internal bag welding system

    Once the big bag is filled, it is evacuated to the cuff closing station. A thermo-welding system allows the big bag to be sealed tightly by the action of heated jaws on the inner bag. Welding technologies can be adapted according to the characteristics of the big bag (aluminum inner bag).
